Senator Ademola Adeleke has been sworn In as executive Governor of Osun State, making him the 6th governor in the state
The inauguration happened today, Sunday, November 27, 2022, at the Osogbo City Stadium, Osogbo.
The new Governor of Osun state , took the oaths of office and allegiance administered by the State’s Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Adepele-Ojo, with his Deputy, prince kola Adegboyega Adewusi
The inauguration was honored by lot of dignitaries which includes the Presidential Candidate of the PDP and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, his wife, Titi, his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Governors of Akwa Ibom, Sokoto, Bayelsa States and the minority leader of the House of Representatives, Ndidi Elumelu with traditional rulers led by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.
The new Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke also returned the name of the State from “State of Osun” to “Osun State” and “The State of the Virtues” to “The State of the Living Spring”.
Adeleke also turned down all appointments made by the ex governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, effective from July 7th, 2022.
He also ordered that all government bank accounts be frozen.
He also added that all actions and runnings of the past administrative of Oyetola from July 17th will be review
